Corporate crisis
Upcoming Alumni Webcast - Are You Prepared for a Corporate Crisis?
October 19, 2017
10:30 – 11:45 a.m. EDT / 4:30 – 5:45 p.m. CEST / 8:00 – 9:15 p.m. IST

Many incidents inside companies never hit the headlines, but recent evidence suggests that more are turning into full-blown corporate crises. From 2010 to 2015, the total amount paid out by corporations for U.S. regulatory infractions grew by over five times, to almost $60 billion per year. Globally, this number is in excess of $100 billion. Since 2010, headlines with the word “crisis” – alongside the name of a Forbes top 100 company – appeared 80 percent more often than in the previous decade.

While every crisis has its own unique characteristics – rooted in specific organizational, regulatory, legal, and business realities – the Firm has identified clear patterns from serving a broad array of clients coping with a range of corporate disasters. The resulting best practices can help leaders better anticipate a crisis and prepare for a response, as under-preparedness contributes to companies underestimating the ultimate cost by five to ten times.

Join Partner Mihir Mysore (Houston), Associate Partner Linda Liu (New York), and Senior External Advisor Karen Peetz (New York) as they discuss what organizations can do to prepare a robust response if the worst happens – from stakeholder management, to buying time for legal and technical resolution teams.
